How To Order

We want to make the ordering process easy for you. But to help us to be as precise as we can be at the estimating stage, we need as much information from you as possible.  We’ve prepared a check list to guide you.

If you need advice to help you to complete your order, just telephone and talk to us about it first.

Before you begin

Please visit the John Porter Door Product Range pages on this website which will give you the technical data on each door type; this will help to indentify which products are right for your project.

Our products are made-to-order so the doorsets you order are unique to your project. Typically over 60 different components make up a storey height doorset assembly.

Order System

It helps to remember that an average order will require over 1140 different components.  These components must be compliant and the Team here at John Porter Doors offer this specialist knowledge. It is part of our service so it makes sense to allow us to draw up your specification and we will satisfy the essential technical requirements in conjunction with your product selection.  This will ensure your final order is compliant, using certificated and accredited products, correct in every detail and good for purpose.

We need to know

  • Provide the project name and location.  We will allocate a reference code to this project which will remain throughout the order.
  • How many doors are required by performance rating, for example, do you fire rated, acoustic, hygiene, secure doors?
  • Provide aperture sizes and opening configurations.
  • Provide the quantity of doors in each category.  This will affect the price and appropriate discount.
  • Provide details of glazing or vision panels, door finish and architectural hardware details.
  • Please provide the required delivery schedule and final completion

Send your order

When you have completed your order please forward it with architectural drawings, sketches and a doorset schedule to our Sales Team, preferably by email, to sales@johnporter.co.uk.  We will appoint an experienced Sales Representative to handle your order who will work closely with our Technical Team to ensure correct specification meets current legislation and Building Regulations.  You will have one point of contact from receipt of order through to site delivery.

On acceptance of your John Porter Door order we will be happy to provide a site survey/measure if you require.  We will also give Supply Chain Partners a website login and password allowing you to easily trace your order at any stage of the ordering, manufacturing and delivery process allowing you to accurately plan your installation schedule.
