John porter doors are designed to be secure in ‘security solutions’ programme
Engineered security timber doorsets, by Sunderland-based John Porter Doors, are fully certified to meet the demands of PAS24, the recognised standard for enhanced security performance of door assemblies. Tested in UKAS accredited laboratories, these high performance technical doorsets have undergone a range of extreme mechanical attack tests based on common methods of burglary which certify that the PAS24Porte range, by John Porter Doors, meets these demanding standards. Doorsets in the PAS24Porte range include the engineered door leaf, frame, lock and hardware.
Secured by Design (SBD), the Association of Chief Police Officers, (ACPO), residential security entrance door scheme, requires single leaf entrance doors for residential buildings to be tested to PAS24. ACPO require doorsets to pass the likely forms of attack categorised in PAS24, both brute force physical attack and manipulative attack. PAS 24 test details are published by British Standards and form the basis of a client specification by reference to Local Authority planning requirements.
To provide for 2013 CE marking, European Standards EN1627-1630 have been published in advance and it is acknowledged that the current PAS24 test regime is a significantly higher standard than the present EN European test standard.
“John Porter Doors will continue to develop the technical qualities of our bespoke range of FD30 fire rated doorsets with the greatest possible performance credentials,” says Ian McSally, Marketing & Technical Director, John Porter Doors. “By reaching now the future requirements of CE marking we can be sure that we are ahead of the game in meeting ever-evolving legislation.” Product development by John Porter Doors for ‘Security Solutions’ includes PAS24 doorsets with keyless entry, keypad entry and deadlocked options.
As a performance doorset specialist manufacturer John Porter Doors can provide any scheme with an engineered solution. A full range of finishes, timbers and sizes can be manufactured to meet the exacting requirements of specifiers and building users which will meet and surpass current legislation and Building Regulations.
