Opened in June 2011, just minutes from the capital’s famous London Tower Bridge, the new Grange Tower Bridge Hotel redefines luxury accommodation and corporate events facilities. These include a signature Conference and Events Centre together with a luxurious Wellness Centre offering an extensive range of beauty and holistic treatments. The Grange Tower Bridge Hotel incorporates renewable solar and photovoltaic panels while an on-site borehole dramatically reduces water consumption making it one of the most energy-efficient hotels to open in recent years.
Grange Hotels, London's leading independent hotel group, provides luxury London hotel accommodation, hospitality and events services for the most discerning guest. Offering an extensive range of 4 and 5 star hotel accommodation in some of the best locations in London, these hotels combine traditional comfort with modern facilities.
The choice of cross grained veneers in walnut and smoked eucalyptus, as specified for the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, provides a technical challenge to the doorset manufacturer in many ways. The walnut veneer must match the solid walnut for the frames, a task made more difficult due to the different areas of the felled log which produce the varying materials. These materials are sourced from different trees of the same species. The smoking process employs a variety of chemical reactions which can also trigger secondary and tertiary chemical reactions in the engineered doorsets. It is the anticipation of these technical challenges that differentiate John Porter Doors, the true performance doorset expert, from the less experienced producer.
